Estella (domestic violence) research.

In the book Great Expectation by Charles Dickens. We read that Estella is in a abusive marriage. so for this weeks research i have been researching about abusive relationships and the physical and emotional implication it has on the victim.

There are different forms of abusive, those include physical, mentally and emotional abuse.

Physical abuse is usually visible. the victim tend to have brazes and scars from when they were attracted. Most victim who are physically abused E.G beaten up they tend to hide there bruising using make up, this could be because of shame or just trying to protect there abuser. there are also other types of physical abuse like rep. this is usually not visible.

another form of abuse is emotional one. though this is not visible it still as bad. this is more to do with words. words that kill once confidence and self esteem. this king of abuse can be phycological as well.

I can imagine that Estella went through all this, and also probably got her own back. so for my character Estella i will create few bruising that will reflect her sadness.
